Downtown Academic Building

The four-story, 74,000 SF center offers classes and conference space for students. Phase One consisted of the construction of the Academic Building shell.  Phase two involved interior fit-outs to accommodate professors offices and graduate student conferences. Christa completed Phase Two of this project 30 days ahead of schedule. Originally slated for basic LEED certification, the project achieved LEED Silver certification from the U.S. Green Building Council.

City of Rochester Water Bureau Facility

Cost: $5.7 million

Completion: December 2006

Location: Rochester, NY

Services: General Construction

Transformation of an existing wastewater treatment facility into a consolidated public works complex. The 85,000 SF, 6-building complex was completed ahead of schedule. This building received Gold LEED Certification from the United States Green Building Council. In April 2006, this project received the "National Public Works Project of the Year" award by the American Public Works Association (APWA).

Ithaca College, Gateway Building

Cost: $18.2 million

Completion: 2009

This new structure, linked to an existing building through an elevated bridge, is constructed of structural steel and concrete and built on caissons.  The four-story, 58,000 SF building's exterior features limestone, glass and metal siding. Green areas provided on the roof tops for various plantings.  Geothermal well fields were installed for use with the heating/cooling system.  A rain water catch basin collection system is utilized for toilet flushing. This building was designed and built to obtain the highest level LEED Certification, Platinum and is Carbon Neutral (using 100% green energy).

SUNY Brockport, Thompson Hall

Cost: $10.2 million

Completion: 2010

Location: Brockport, NY

Services: General Construction

Renovation/rehabilitation of three-story dormitory including demolition and abatement of existing asbestos containing materials.  New flooring systems, renovations to Residence Life offices, expansion of first floor common space, renovations to RD offices, RA office and mail area. Upgrades to RD & Faculty apartments, additional dorms on first floor, toilet room upgrades, new student lounges and kitchenettes, laundry rooms, glass curtain walls, upgrades to stair towers, new elevator and new windows. This project is LEED Gold certified. 

Breckenridge Place Apartments

Cost: $10.5 million

Completion: April 2014

Location: Ithaca, NY

Services: General Contractor

The six-story brick building houses 50, one and two bedroom apartments, office space, meeting rooms and garden areas.  Located at one of the most prominent corners in downtown Ithaca, this building is Energy Star and LEED-certified, making it energy-efficient and environmentally sustainable. Located at the site of the Women’s Community Building, Breckenridge Place is the first major affordable housing project in Ithaca’s downtown in over 40 years.
